A few months ago, Kevin and I got a greenhouse. We want to learn how to grow vegetables and collect seeds. Aspen insisted on helping and actually proved extremely difficult to work with. Always demanding something: food, a nap, attention, toys. Geez...Couldn't she understand we were busy???
It took us a couple of weekends to actually finish it, but here is she!!!
I have been starting seeds in the house, and slowly moving them out to the greenhouse once they got big enough. Our neighbors, Dick & Debbie offered to let me use their garden since Dick will be working and they don't plan to use the garden like they normally do. So, today - Aspen and I staked our claim.
Aspen had her first taste of dirt today, yummy!
We got 4 artichokes, 3 brussel sprouts, 2 broccoli's planted!
Aspen's final inspection and luckily we got her approval.
This season is going to be so much fun with Aspen now that she is walking. The goal is to figure out how to take seeds and actually turn them into viable plants that thrive and produce food. We will also start trying to harvest seeds from our plants and dry them for next years use (hopefully).
